A real oldie starring Humphrey Bogart (maybe), and somewhat reminiscent of "Treasure of Sierra Madre"...?

It has all the greed and betrayal of "Treasure." The protagonist, who may or may not be Bogart, is vindicated in the end when the greedy bad guys are trapped in an underground cave or well. These include about 2 or 3 males and one female who may be his former partners-in-crime. I think I remember a frontier setting, but was it woodsy or prairie I can't recall...can you???
