What did Saddam Hussein do to us americans personally to go after him like that?

Nothing. He did a lot of bad things to his own people, including a chemical macre, but nothing to the U.S. He was not involved in terrorism in any way and did not harbor any terrorists. We went there for the purpose of finding mive stockpiles of "weapons of m destruction" There was'nt even one bomb, one chemical explosive, nothing. It was the most senseless, costly (in terms of lives and money) and the longest war in U.S. history. And we are still there.
