Calling all Type 1's! Should we change our name?

Personally, I get weary of being lumped in with Type 2's, since they are the overwhelming majority of diabetics and their issues and treatments seem to take all the focus, not to mention we are often confused with them which leads to misunderstandings and even incorrect treatment. I've heard Type 1's propose that we change our name to something else without the word "diabetes". What better place to raise the question than Y/A? Does the idea have merit? Ideas for names? How about insula absentis (Latin for "missing insulin") as a start? How would we start the process?
