Does imitation bug you?

I'm part Potawanemea (Native American Tribe) and i saw a Brit (I didn't talk to her so i don't know what part shes from so I'm generalizing) dressed up as a Native in feathers and weird clothing and it kind of offended me, maybe more than it should of. But still , does imitation ever bug you?
