Are Weak Hydrogen Bonds In DNA Disconnected?

I have to do this DNA and RNA project, and I have to include three weak hydrogen bonds (G-C) and another two weak hydrogen bonds (T-A). I was wondering if those are seperate and if that is where RNA enters with. And also what are covalent bonds in DNA like? Please help! I'm lost!!
